Purpose

The purpose of North Pole Christian School is to provide a quality Christian education which, in cooperation with Christian parents, will train children in harmony with God’s Word and encourage a personal faith in God resulting in citizens who are fully equipped to influence family, community, and the world for Christ. We believe the successful development of each child’s spiritual and academic potential is promoted by a combined effort of the Christian home, Bible-believing church, and school. History

Almost 40 years ago, North Pole Christian School (NPCS) began with the principle that children must be taught academic excellence within the framework of Biblical Christianity. Our idea was that growing children must excel not only in the area of academics, but that each moment of the day must used to teach the spiritual disciplines of the Christian faith.

NPCS instructors are trained in both academics and spiritual growth principles. It is our belief that as teachers, assistants and staff interact with students on a daily basis, they serve as examples of Jesus Christ. Each moments of a child’s life must be utilized to point them to a relationship with the living God.

Over the years, some of our NPCS students have remained in the community as leaders, other have gone off to college and pursued post-secondary and graduate degrees, yet others have returned to the school to serve and lead. Our prayer is that your child has the opportunity to grow academically with challenging curriculum, building mental and physical resilience along the way.

Academics

We utilize a variety of material from institutions such as Abeka, Bob Jones, Saxon etc. Each teacher follows a set of daily lesson plans as outlined in the NPCS General Operating Manual. Teachers balance fun and hard work to create an incredible learning environment for your child.

Students are evaluated orally using both game play and classroom Q&A. In additional written worksheets, quizzes and tests are used to evaluate rote memory, problem solving, understanding and correlation.

Our tried and proven training correlates subjects both within a grade and between grades to ensure that sufficient review and repetition is used while introducing new subjects.

Classrooms, teachers and administrators are audited using ISO-like techniques and standards. This ensures each faculty and staff member are performing at their peak level and students are afforded the greatest opportunity to grow in their knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
